When it comes to practicing we all want fast results. Sometimes it makes us try to practice too quickly and it’s easy to get frustrated when things don’t come together and we wind up not getting much out of the session. It’s important to slow down, use your voice, and work on small sections of your song. Phrase by phrase is always a good way to practice, or just work on the bars that are giving you trouble.
My rule of thumb is once you get it right, work on trying to get it correct three times in a row. If you can do that then you probably are ready to move on!
If you need to buy music books please check with me first. I used to recommend Amazon but I want to support a good friend who runs a local music store.
Josh will take care of you!
